So, we have approximately a month before 2022 comes. Yes, we are all still stuck in 2019 and are wondering how the hell 2020 and 2021, two frigging whole years passed. Here are some upcoming kdramas you can watch until the first few months of 2022 whilst praying for Omicron to show sympathy on the mankind. Seriously guys, let's just hope this all ends soon. We're lucky to have kdramas that can make us escape the reality, so here we go.

#1 Our Beloved Summer

A story of ex-lovers who promised not to meet each other ever again but had to sit in front of a camera together after 10 long years when a documentary they filmed during their high school days goes viral. Choi Woo Shik (The Parasite guy) and Kim Dami (Our badass Yi Seo from Itaewon Class) are the main leads. Plus, we have our beloved Jail Bird playing a leading role. It will be airing on Netflix and SBS from Dec 6 on Mondays and Tuesdays. Don't miss it, the trailer looks really fun and promising. Well, both the actors are great, so what can we expect?! We all have a special place for rom-coms in our hearts, and this definitely looks like one. Let's hope we get a bunch of life lessons too.

#2 Artificial City

A Mystery-Thriller starring Soo Ae as Jae Hee, who's coming back to kdramas after 5 long years or so and Kim Kang Woo as Joon Hyuk. The story revolves around the Sung Jin Group that owns an art gallery for which the person in charge is, Jae Hee, the wife of Joon Hyuk who was born out of wed-lock in a Chaebol family. The drama throws light on the things people end up doing when they become greedy and ambitious for power. This will air every Wednesday and Thursday nights on JTBC starting from December 8. Tbh, it looks really dark and puzzling, well sometimes we do need something different to watch, something that can show us what not to do with our lives, this looks like one.

#3 Bad and Crazy

Well well uri Grim Reaper aka Lee Dong Wook is back, now as Ryu Soo yeol, with a thriller that will certainly be delightful to watch, even if it's not, still we have Grim Repear who is indeed delightful to watch. Plus, we have our own Squid Game Cop and the second male lead from 18 again who left us with "What a man", yes I'm talking about Wi Ha Jun as another main lead, now I can for sure say that this drama is goanna be delightul to watch "DELIGHTFUL", you know what I mean? lol. Okay so, the former is a bad cop with split personality while the latter is also a cop with a crazy sense of justice. Bad meets crazy and the rest is history. Don't miss watching this duo on screen, trust me it's goanna be one hell of a ride, not kidding guys and we know that both the actors are good at choosing scripts so isn't this kinda obvious? So, "Bad Meets Crazy" is scheduled to premiere tvN and iQIYI on December 17 and will air on every Friday and Saturday.

#4 Snowdrop

BLINKS assemble!! Uri Ji Soo is making her debut with this melodrama, "Snowdrop" and do you know who is the main lead? It's Jung Hae In, yeah you heard me right, that swoon-worthy guy who has this plain yet satisfying smile, the cutest!

Set in 1987, a crucial year in the history of South Korea, when the ruling government had to hold elections due to the nationwide movement, "Snowdrop" depicts the story of Eun Young Ro (Ji Soo), a college student who falls in love with Im Su Ho (Jung Hae In), another student with a secret past. Plus, this drama is from the same team as that of "Sky Castle", so it will certainly be worth watching. This JTBC originals will also be available on Disney+Hotstar from Dec18.

#5 The One and Only

It's time to watch out Chuchu on screen again! And it's a bonus if you're a Red Velvet fan because JOY is here too. If you have watched Bad Guys then you would know Kang Ye Won. These three unite along with Kim Kyung Nam, the guy who played as Joon Ho's brother in "Prison Playbook" for this melodrama.

This melodrama is about three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice ward and unexpectedly get involved in a murder case. They hope to take down "the one" bad person before they die. This JTBC originals will air on Mondays and Tuesdays from Dec 20.

#6 The Silent Sea

Attention please!! Uri Goblin aka Gong Yoo, yes the man who is funny, handsome and most importantly generous, kind and down to earth, is back with a highly anticipated Sci-fi thriller series. Where there is Gong Yoo, there is no room for disappointments. Set in the future, when the planet suffers from a lack of water and food caused by desertification. Yoon Jae (Gong Yoo) is a soldier for the space agency. He is selected for a team, including Ji An (Bae Doona, the amazing actress who acted in the series "KINGDOM"), to travel to the moon. Their mission is to retrieve a mysterious sample from an abandoned research station. The trailer looks promising. The Silent Sea premieres exclusively on Netflix on December 24, save the date. I'm in, what about you?

#7 When flowers bloom, I think of the moon

Starring Uri Deok Sun ah aka Lee Hyeri and Yoo Seung-ho, the guy from "I am not a Robot", this drama is a historical romantic-comedy, set in the late Joseon period where alcohol is prohibited. The male lead is an Inspector general working to restore his family’s former glory but falls in love with an impoverished and rebellious young woman, undoubtedly uri Deok Seon ah. It is scheduled to premiere on December 20, on KBS2. Where there's Lee Hyeri, there's abundance of fun. There must be room for rom-coms like these in our watchlist, the goal is to smile, laugh and forget the reality, so this certainly can't be missed. But seriously, the title could have been better.

#8 Bulgasal: Immortal Souls

First part of the title is weird aka I don't understand it but the next part makes true sense. This fantasy historical kdrama follows the interwined lives of of a woman who has reincarnated for the past 600 years with all her memories intact (Itaewon Class fame Kwon Nara) and an immortal who feeds off human blood (Lee Jin Wook, the one from Sweet Home). The trailer looks insanely beautiful and hence it's goanna be a feast for the eyes. This drama will be premiering on tvN on December 18, and will also be available on Netflix. Let's hope this time Kwon Nara wouldn't leave us with confusion whether to like her role or not, idk how everytime she nails her acting skills to an extent that the person watching gets confused "Okay so do I like her or not?".

Okay so these are the dramas you shouldn't be missing like you missed your assignments, alarms and even life during these two years, 2020 and 2021. Watch these and forget what life is for a few hours, it's okay, we all need an illusion, kdramas to your rescue.
