Today is Teacher’s day here in India and I know that in life, well life itself is a teacher, what I’m trying to say is that in life, everyone we meet are teachers, some teach us to be better, some teach us how not to get worse. But just like in life, even in the books we read, the movies we watch and the Kdramas we watch, there are characters that keep teaching us something or the other. And here in this blog post, I’m sharing with you the life lessons that these amazing characters taught us, with their life. Okay, I’ll try my best to keep it small, let’s get started.

It’s okay to not have a dream, it’s okay to not have good grades at school. You don’t have to figure out what do you want to become, you just have to know yourself and keep being yourself. Life isn’t all about achieving something big, life is all about living. You’ll make it one day, few years from now, you’ll be in a place where you can be yourself and do what you love, what naturally comes to you and that is all that matters in the end. It’s okay if the people you like don’t like you back, sometimes you might even think that you’re someone who doesn’t deserve to be loved but that feeling isn’t goanna lost, sooner in life you’re goanna find someone who loves you for just the way you are, the only thing you should focus on till then is never forgetting to fall in love with the woman you see in the mirror. Don’t panic, life will work out as long as you don’t give up on “yourself” and “living”.

No matter how great you become in life, you should always remember your roots, the people who were there for you when you were at your lowest, when you were just a beginner. Life is all about the choices you make, always choose something that won’t leave you with any regrets, something that you’ll be ready to choose over and over again if you’re put in the same situation again, that way you won’t beat yourself up for the rest of your life for making that choice. If you see someone suffering and you know that by doing something in your power you can make them feel better than go ahead and help that person without thinking twice, it’s important as a human being to do what you can to others, we’re all here to help each other and lift each other up. And when someone offers their hand and lifts you up when you are having a hard time, not even having the strength to get up, never ever forget that person, and in later times if you get the chance to pay them back, go ahead and do it. Respect human relationships, be the best brother you can possibly be to your sister, be a good son, be such a good friend that you get to be your friend’s lockscreen and be a good human being to every person you meet.
#3 Seroyi from Itaewon Class

As a human being, you should have your own beliefs and you should stick to them no matter what life throws at you. You should only follow what your inner heart says and never allow any other person to have influence in the decisions you make. When given a chance to choose between money and people, always choose people. Treat the people who work for you, under you just like a family, trust them, love them and stand by them until the very end. Going by the book, doing only the right thing might be hard especially in this filthy world we are living in but you’re goanna make it one day, you are goanna stand tall and be proud for listening to your inner voice.
#4 Dong Hun from My Mister

Be kind even when no one’s watching. Help someone who’s struggling without expecting anything in return. Be patient even when it’s hard to be, even when your blood is fuming. Be a good person to even those people who don’t deserve it. Put yourself in the other person’s shoes before judging them. If you happen to see something that you shouldn’t have, something that concerns someone else, just turn a blind eye, they’re better off without knowing about it, it’s better than making them feel all embarrassed and small before you. You’re not your past, your past means nothing. Your life will change one day, you just have to be patient and trust the process. It’s goanna be hard, you might feel like dying but you have to get up every time you fall, just hang in there, yes it’s the most difficult thing to do but that’s also the best thing that you can do at that moment. Hope is everything.
#5 Seok Hyung from Hospital Playlist

Life is too short to do the things you don’t like. Focus on the things you love doing, the things you want to do right now. Always and always try to think of the best thing that can be done right now. We are all so focused on the future that we forget the now which is more important and which actually matters. It is your present, it is your nows that are goanna be there for you as beautiful memories, it is your nows that are in your control. This life, we just don’t know what’s goanna happen in the next minute, so why waste it on something you are not clearly enjoying. Live in your now for now.
It’s said that everything that happens in life has a meaning and I think that it is indeed true. We are all in here to live and in that process we are indeed goanna make mistakes and it’s okay, it’s the first time we’re living this life after all but at the same time to become a better person and to avoid having regrets, it is necessary to learn, to learn everything possible to live this life to the fullest. It’s important to focus on the people around us, the people we see, the people we meet, the situations we find ourselves in and try to see what they are trying to teach you, what they are trying to imply because that’s why they have been put into your life in the first place. Learning is everywhere, you just have to open your eyes and see for real and use your brain to think. I don’t watch kdramas just because they’re entertaining, they make me laugh or have a good cry. I watch kdramas because they teach me so many things, Duk Seon taught me that it’s okay if I can’t figure out what I want to become, Je Hyuk and Dong Hoon taught me to become a better person, Seroyi taught me the importance of having certain ethics and values in life and sticking to them no matter what, Seok Hyung taught me the importance of being in the present and of course, the list goes on and on. Teachers aren’t just the ones who taught us how to count and spell and be a master in a certain field, they are also the ones whom we see in our day to day lives and they also include the ones whom we watch on screen, maybe even better than the teachers we actually have in real life!
I love this!!! The character I resonate with the most is Duk Seon. I also have absolutely no idea what I want to do in life. I don't know what I want as a career and even if I get good grades, it makes me really nervous and anxious when I realise that I don't have a dream. But when I saw Duk Seon going through the same thing, especially that scene where she asked her dad, "why don't I have a dream?" or something like that, it completely shattered my heart because that happened to me too.
Duk Seon made me realise that not having a dream is okay too, you can figure out stuff as you go along…
